July 7, 2010 “This is a welcome decision. We have said all along that decisions regarding health care choice should be made in the community, not the courts. We are glad that Kadlec finally has agreed. Now it’s time for Kadlec to stop all its other efforts intended to delay or stop our efforts to build a much-needed hospital facility in Southridge. “Specifically, we call on Kadlec to withdraw its letter to the Department of Health that requested revocation of the Southridge Certificate of Need and its request to the federal Housing and Urban Development for documents regarding KGH’s financing applications. We believe that Kadlec’s request to HUD to reveal its internal analysis and decision making was calculated to slow the process even further and to make it even more difficult for us to secure the financing we need to build Southridge.” |
